Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The fault is linked to the soot quantity in the particle filter rather than to the pressure sensor signal, even though it is named a signal fault. The engine control module (ECM) follows the pressure difference across the filter and advances a counter when the filter starts to fill with soot. The code is set when the counter has increased and the soot quantity exceeds a limit value.

- Air leakage in the intake system
- The car has been driven a lot in urban conditions
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the engine intake system does not leak air; if the filter fills quickly or often, leaks and damage may be the cause
- 2Drive the car on open roads now and then, as the control module may then start burning off soot by itself
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the soot level in live data, which shows how much soot needs to be burned off
- 4If the control module no longer starts soot burning by itself, have a workshop decide what needs doing
- 5If the fault code ECM-P246386 is also stored, deal with that code first
