Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The engine control module (ECM) checks the circuit to the system relay coil, which is fed from a fuse in the engine bay's distribution box and is earthed in the module. The code is stored when the voltage in the circuit is too low, or when the ECM has detected an internal voltage-related fault. Possible causes are poor contact, a cable shorted to ground, a damaged system relay or an internal fault in the ECM.

- Cable short-circuited to ground
- Damaged system relay
- Damaged engine control module
- Internal fault in the engine control module

- 1Read the fault status with the ignition on. If the code is not active, the fault may have been intermittent
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the instruction manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3Check the connections in the system relay circuit for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check whether voltage reaches the system relay coil; if it is missing, check the wire for open circuits and earth faults
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop assess whether the system relay or the engine control module needs replacing
