Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The oil level sensor in the oil pan reports the oil level and oil quality to the ECM. The code is stored when the oil level signal is abnormally high. Causes can be a very high oil level, a damaged sensor, or a signal cable shorted to supply voltage or to ground.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Extremely high oil level
- Damaged oil level sensor
- Signal cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Signal cable short-circuited to ground (see ECM-P250C00)
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check the oil level with the dipstick. If it is too high, excess oil can be drained out
- 2Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 3Check the connector to the oil level sensor for contact resistance and oxidation; clean and remedy it if needed
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable from the oil level sensor has no contact with plus (supply voltage)
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the oil level sensor
