Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The code applies when a temperature sensor reading in the electric rear axle (ERAD) is absent or reads low. The control module (IEM) measures the temperature with two sensors and sets the code when the reading from one of them does not arrive. This may be caused by a short to ground in the signal cable. The performance of the rear axle is then reduced.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Loose contacts, contact resistance or oxidation at the joints between the ERAD and the voltage converter (ISC)
- Signal cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the signal cable
- Damaged wiring between the ERAD and the ISC
- Damaged temperature sensor in the ERAD
- Internal fault in the voltage converter (ISC)

- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: check the rear axle temperature in live data for a missing or constantly low reading from one sensor
- 2Have a workshop measure the temperature sensor's signal cable against ground and look for damage. High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 3Do not carry out any work on the wiring or connectors to the electric rear axle yourself
- 4After the repair, check that the code is not stored again and that the drive modes work as normal
