Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The parking brake module (PBM) supplies the left brake caliper through an output and checks the power consumption there. The fault code is stored when the current does not reach the correct level on activation and an incorrect signal remains for a longer time. The causes are a break in the signal wire or a damaged control module.

- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car using the parking brake to see whether it returns
- 2At the connectors, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire carries through to the left brake caliper
- 3Check that the connectors in the signal wire are firmly fitted and not corroded
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the current consumption of the left and right brake calipers when the parking brake is applied
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the signal wire and the parking brake control module
- 6The parking brake is a safety function: have a workshop check it if it does not work as it should
