Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The power seat control module (PSM) has switched off its communication on the medium speed network (MS-CAN), a so-called bus-off. This happens when the module cannot send messages correctly on the CAN network, for example because of disturbances from the wiring or from another control module on the same part of the network. A damaged seat control module can also cause the fault.
Mögliche Ursachen
- The CAN wiring has a short-circuit
- The CAN wiring has an open circuit
- Another control module on the same part of the network has an internal fault
- The power seat control module (PSM) is damaged
Was Sie tun können
- 1Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Disconnect the battery negative lead and use a multimeter to check that the CAN wires have no open circuit and no short to ground or voltage
- 3Twist and move the harness and connectors during the check. If the reading changes when they move, there is a loose connector or a chafed section of wire
- 4Check that the wiring is not damaged by impacts, heat or moisture, especially at the connectors
- 5Have a workshop look for another control module that is sending faulty messages and judge whether the seat control module itself is damaged
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können4
- Remote operation does not work
- Automatic seat and outer mirror adjustment does not work
- Seat adjustment, power adjustment and folding do not work
- Automatic adjustment to a stored position (memory) does not work
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann1
- The control module switches itself off (bus-off)
