The main processor in the sensor control module, which handles CAN communication, has not finished its tasks in time. The fault is internal, and stability control is blocked while it is present.

- Internal fault in the sensor control module

- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Turn the wheel fully right, then fully left, set it straight ahead and read the code again
- 3With diagnostic equipment, follow the counters for the fault status; many incorrect driving cycles mean a recurring fault
- 4If the code returns, have a workshop replace the steering wheel module (SWM)
- 5The stability function stays blocked while the fault is present, so have a workshop repair it promptly
