Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The SRS control module has registered that the capacitance in the circuit for passenger airbag stage 1 has been too low for a while. The fault is intermittent, meaning it has occurred at some point but may not be present right now. Fault-finding starts at the connector for the ignition cable, where the built-in capacitor is located.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Short circuit in the built-in capacitor in the connector to the ignition cable
- Fault in the built-in capacitor in the connector to the ignition cable, so that the capacitance becomes too high
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors to the passenger airbag and the control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Have a workshop check that the connector to the ignition cable is fully engaged and not damaged or corroded
- 4If the code returns: have a workshop check the built-in capacitor with diagnostic equipment
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; all work on the connectors, capacitor and wiring is done by a workshop
