The voltage in the circuit to the rear right seat belt tensioner has been too high for a longer period, which suggests a short circuit to voltage in the wiring. The fault is stored as intermittent, so it has occurred at some point but may not be present now. The cause can be in the connector, in the seat belt tensioner or in the signal wire to the SRS control module.

- 1Have a workshop check that the connector to the rear right seat belt tensioner is fully engaged and not oxidised
- 2Have a workshop check the connector at the airbag control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3Have a workshop check chafed or pinched sections of the wire between the control module and the seat belt tensioner
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wire for an intermittent short to voltage, and the seat belt tensioner
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop check it
