Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The airbag control module has registered serious interference on the control area network (CAN), which blocks its communication with the other control modules in the car. The fault may come from the CAN wiring or from an internal fault in a control module on the same part of the network.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Short-circuit between the CAN wiring
- Open-circuit in one of the CAN wires
- Internal fault in the control module
- Internal fault in another control module on the same part of the CAN network
Was Sie tun können
- 1Erase the code with a diagnostic tool and see whether it returns; if codes for lost communication are present in the central electronic module (CEM), start there
- 2Have a workshop measure the resistance of the CAN wiring and check for short-circuits to ground and to supply voltage
- 3Have a workshop find the disturbing control module by disconnecting control modules on the network one at a time and seeing when the interference stops
- 4If no other faults are found, the workshop can load new software into the control module, after agreement with you
- 5Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out all work on the wiring and the control modules

- The control module shuts itself off ("bus-off")
- It stays off until the power supply is broken; when power is reconnected it tries to communicate again
