Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The transmission control module drives shift solenoids S1 to S5 through power stages and checks the circuits by sending out a control current. The fault means the signal from shift solenoid S4 is missing.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Break in the signal wire
- Defective solenoid
- Internal fault inside the transmission control unit (TCM)
Was Sie tun können
- 1Have a diagnostic tool? With the selector in P, activate solenoid S4 and read whether the status changes
- 2Read off and clear the fault code after the check, then road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 3Use a multimeter to measure the resistance in the solenoid circuit; an endless reading means the circuit is broken, and the lead or the solenoid needs attention
- 4Have a workshop check the connectors and the wiring to the solenoid; if the fault remains the control module may need replacing and programming
