Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The transmission control module (TCM) receives too low a signal from the position sensor for shift fork 4. The signal shows the fork's position, and when the value is too low the control module cannot read the position correctly. The cause can be in the cable, the sensor or the control module.

- Cable short-circuited to ground
- Damaged position sensor
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
Was Sie tun können
- 1Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the voltage supply to the position sensors; if it is outside the normal range, the fault is inside the control module
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the cable to the position sensor for shift fork 4 has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment, look at the position value for shift fork 4 in live data and see whether it changes when the gears are engaged
- 4If a value is outside or at the limit, a workshop should replace the mechatronic unit; if readings are within limits, the fault has probably been sporadic
- 5If the fault is inside the control module, it must be replaced, and a new module is delivered without software and must be programmed by a workshop
