Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The transmission control module (TCM) ends up in a communication fault on the CAN network. The code is set when a serious disturbance is registered, or when the module cannot reach the other control modules. The fault may be in the wiring, a connector, the transmission control module itself or another module that is disturbing the network.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Short circuit between the CAN wires
- Open circuit in one of the CAN wires
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Internal fault in the transmission control module
- Internal fault in another control module on the same part of the CAN network
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the fault codes in all control modules. If there are codes for missing communication in the central electronic control module (CEM), troubleshoot those first
- 2With the ignition off, check the CAN wiring for open circuits, chafing and loose connectors
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the CAN wires are not shorted to ground or supply voltage
- 4Check the connectors at the transmission control module and at other modules on the network for contact resistance and oxidation
- 5Have a workshop measure the resistance in the CAN network and disconnect sections of the network to find which side is disturbing it
- 6Have a workshop replace the module that communicates incorrectly; the central electronic control module (CEM) is only replaced if troubleshooting shows an internal fault
Symptome, die Sie bemerken können3
- Missed gear changes
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- General warning lamp on
Was der Fehler beeinflussen kann2
- The transmission control module switches itself off the CAN network (bus-off)
- It stays switched off until the power supply has been interrupted, then tries to communicate again
