Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The gear range sensor inside the transmission control module gives a signal that is too high. It uses two Hall sensors to detect the selector position, and the fault may lie in the connector, a wire, the cable adjustment or the module itself.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Contact resistance, oxidation or looseness in the connectors or connections
- Signal wire shorted to supply voltage
- Misadjusted gear range sensor
- Internal fault in the transmission control module
Was Sie tun können
- 1Check that the selector cable is correctly adjusted; have a workshop adjust it if needed
- 2With the ignition off, check the connector to the transmission control module for contact resistance, oxidation and looseness
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is not shorted to supply voltage
- 4Clear the fault code and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 5Have a workshop replace the transmission control module if the fault remains; a new module must be programmed
