Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The brake control module (BCM) has registered that the voltage supplied to it is too low. The module needs a stable supply to work, and at low voltage ABS and other stability functions are switched off.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Poor contact in the connections
- Battery voltage too low
- Fault in the charging system
- Open circuit or short to ground in the supply wire
- Blown fuse in the circuit or interference on the wiring
- Defective brake control module (uncommon)
Was Sie tun können
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the battery is charged and that its terminals are tight
- 3Check the fuse for the brake module supply and the connectors at the brake control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Read the voltage to the brake control module with diagnostic equipment and check the charging system if needed
- 5The brake system is safety critical: have a workshop fix the fault promptly, and do not work on the brake control module or its wiring yourself
