Was bedeutet der Fehlercode?
The fault code concerns the positive feed to the fuel pump in the auxiliary heater, which has a short to ground, or a signal from the pump that is too low. The control module then switches the heater off. If the heater is activated again, it makes a new start attempt. Common causes are damaged wiring, a short to ground or a faulty pump.
Mögliche Ursachen
- Damaged cable or connection
- Cables short-circuited to ground
- Damaged fuel pump
- Short to ground in the cable between the heater control module and the fuel pump
Was Sie tun können
- 1With the ignition off, check the wiring and connectors between the heater and the fuel pump for damage, looseness or incorrect fitting, and for corrosion.
- 2Check that the earth connection to the heater is firmly attached and clean.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the positive wire to the fuel pump has no contact with ground (the body). If it does, repair or replace the wire.
- 4Use gloves and safety goggles when working near the fuel pump, as fuel can spill. Disconnect the pump connector and check it for corrosion and looseness.
- 5Replace the fuel pump if its connector is damaged, or have a workshop do it.
- 6If the fault remains after checking the wiring, have a workshop check the fuel pump and the heater control module.
