Both high voltage circuits have their own safety circuit, known as an interlock, which checks that components, cables and connectors are correctly connected. The code is set when the safety circuit shows a fault, which may be that the manual service disconnect sits loose or is not connected, that it or its base is damaged, or that there is an open circuit in the high voltage cable.

- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and road test to check whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check visible damage to the high voltage cable sheathing, such as chafing or pinch marks
- 3Have a workshop check that the manual service disconnect is fully in place and undamaged
- 4The high voltage system should only be handled by qualified personnel, so have a workshop carry out all work on the battery and other high voltage parts
