The seat heating module for the right rear seat uses a sensor in the seat to regulate the heat, and reports to the climate control module (CCM) when that sensor is not working. The fault lies in the wire between the module and the sensor, which may be broken or short-circuited to ground or voltage. The rear seat heat is then unregulated.

5With diagnostic equipment, follow the current temperature of the right rear seat heating in live data. The value should change when the heat is switched on and off
