Despite the fault being labelled an internal fault in the control module, it concerns the wires from the roof control module to the position sensors for the front and rear roof sections. If one of these wires has contact with supply voltage the code is set, and it may appear when the roof is activated or deactivated. The roof may then operate to a limited extent or not at all.
Możliwe przyczyny
- The wire to position sensor 17 (front roof section) is shorted to supply voltage
- The wire to position sensor 2 (rear roof section) is shorted to supply voltage
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
Co możesz zrobić
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether it comes back
- 2With a multimeter you can check that the wires to position sensors 17 and 2 have no contact with voltage
- 3Look at the connectors to the position sensors for oxidation, damage and loose connections
- 4Replace a faulty wire. If nothing is found there, the roof control module may need replacing by a workshop
