The code relates to a deviation in the learned position of the swirl damper, meaning the calibration the engine control module makes. The fault can be caused by a sticking swirl damper motor, or by a sticking linkage. It gives a message in the information display.

- 1Clear the fault code and check whether it returns
- 2With the ignition off, check that the swirl channel is not clogged and the linkage moves freely
- 3Check the swirl damper motor for sticking and damage
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, listen for a ticking sound when the swirl damper motor is activated
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the swirl damper and its learned position
