Co oznacza ten kod błędu?
Although the code is named for a high signal, it concerns the rear oxygen sensor in bank 1, sensor 2, which does not show a rich mixture after the control module has changed the mixture. The engine control module (ECM) changes the mixture if the sensor does not register rich. At fuel cut-off the sensor should also show lean, and if the switch takes too long the code is set.
Możliwe przyczyny
- Leak in the exhaust system
- Damaged rear oxygen sensor
Co możesz zrobić
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Look for air leaks in the exhaust system, as a leak can give a wrong signal from the rear sensor
- 3Avoid rust solvent spray and grease in the rear sensor connector and check that it is fully engaged
- 4If no leak is found, replace the rear oxygen sensor; a damaged sensor can also set the code
Objawy, które możesz zauważyć1
- Check engine light (MIL) on
