The control module (ECM) compares the signal levels from the four pressure sensors in the injectors with a highest permitted value. When the signal from the pressure sensor on cylinder 4 becomes too high, the code is set and the control module reads pressure sensor 1 instead.

- Faulty pressure sensor in the injector on cylinder 4

- 2Check the connector to the injector on cylinder 4 for looseness and oxidation
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the pressure from each injector in live data and see whether cylinder 4 reads high compared with the others
- 4If the fault remains, a workshop with diagnostic equipment should check the pressure sensor in the injector on cylinder 4
