Reference voltage A to some of the engine's sensors is too high, which shows up as a signal that is too high. The engine control module (ECM) monitors the supply circuit and sets the code when the voltage is too low or too high. It is most often a knock-on fault from another code, so that code should be traced first.

2Check other stored codes for a short to battery voltage in a sensor supply; several of them can point to a shorted ground point

4Use a multimeter to check that the wires to the sensors are not short-circuited to supply voltage or ground, and check that the relevant fuses are intact
