The control module monitors the internal reference voltage for the sensors. The code is set when a reference voltage in any circuit reads too high, too low or is absent. The fault may lie in a short-circuited wire, a damaged sensor or the control module itself.

4Use a multimeter to check that the wiring to the sensors has no contact with ground (the body) or voltage, with the connectors disconnected
5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the sensors and the control module. For a permanent fault the control module may need replacing, which a workshop does
