Co oznacza ten kod błędu?
The brake control module (BCM) compares the speed of the driven wheels with the vehicle speed and, when slip is detected, requests extra torque from the engine over CAN. Although the code is titled invalid signal, it applies when the request for extra torque from the brake control module is missing. The code is set after a code in the brake control module and is a follow-on fault.
Możliwe przyczyny
- Fault in the brake control module (BCM), which should be checked first
- Break in one of the CAN network wires
- Short circuit between the CAN wires
- Internal fault in another control module on the same part of the CAN network
Co możesz zrobić
- 1First read the codes in the brake control module, fix them and clear them. The code in the engine control module can then be cleared
- 2Check the CAN network wiring for chafing and loose contacts, and use a multimeter to check for breaks or short circuits
- 3Check that the fuses for the brake control module are intact
- 4Do not work on the braking system yourself. If it returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the brake control module and CAN network
