Although the code is named rate of change, it applies when the signal from the angle sensor in the electric rear axle (ERAD) falls beyond the accepted tolerance band. The control module (IEM) checks the calibrated limits through the sensor and sets the code while driving in gear D or R. The fault may lie in the wiring between the ERAD and the voltage converter (ISC), in the sensor, or in the ISC. Electric propulsion is then not possible.

- Loose contacts, contact resistance or oxidation at the connections between the ERAD and the voltage converter (ISC)
- Open circuit in the signal cable
- Signal cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Damaged wiring between the ERAD and the ISC
- Internal fault in the electric rear axle (ERAD)
- Internal fault in the voltage converter (ISC)
Co możesz zrobić
- 1Have a workshop check the wiring between the electric rear axle and the voltage converter (ISC). High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: look at the angle sensor value in live data and see whether it jumps more often than expected while driving
- 3Have a workshop read the fault codes in the electric rear axle and check the sensor. Do not work on it yourself
- 4After the repair, check that the code is not stored again while driving in gear D or R
