The high voltage generator control module (IGM) measures the temperature of its high voltage transistors using three temperature sensors built into the control module. The code is stored when any of the sensors reports a signal that is too high. The fault is only checked once the test has started at ignition on.

- One of the three temperature sensors inside the IGM is damaged
- Internal fault inside the ISC voltage converter

- 1Read out, clear the code and start the car to see whether it returns
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: follow the IGM temperature values in live data and see whether any sensor reads clearly higher than the others
- 3Have a workshop check the voltage conversion unit ISC, as it may also have an internal fault
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by a workshop; do not work on it yourself
