The transmission control module (TCM) has requested a movement of shift fork 1, but shift fork 3 moves instead. The fault may be due to the valve that selects odd or even gears, the hydraulic system or a solenoid, and it means the mechatronic unit must be replaced.

- Damaged valve for selecting odd/even gears (OEC valve)
- Fault in the hydraulic system
- Damaged first solenoid in the hydraulic control
- Damaged second solenoid in the hydraulic control

- 1Read out the fault codes from the transmission control module and deal first with any codes that may share the same cause
- 2The fault means the mechatronic unit must be replaced, and a workshop should do this
- 3If the control module is also replaced, it must be programmed by a workshop, because a replacement control module arrives without software
- 4Then read out the fault codes again to see whether the fault code remains
