Solenoid SHSS2, which controls the shifts for the even gears, has an open circuit. The solenoid sits in the transmission's mechatronic unit and also controls the shift forks so that the correct gear is engaged. The cause is a damaged or dirty connector or circuit board, a damaged solenoid, or a damaged transmission control module.

- 1Read the fault codes, clear TCM-0590 and drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop open the transmission control system and inspect solenoid SHSS2 for corrosion, poor contact, dirt or metal build-up
- 3Have a workshop check the transmission oil level
- 4If the fault cannot be found or fixed, a workshop must replace the mechatronic unit
