Technical Description
DTC B0027 points to a circuit malfunction in the Right/Passenger Side Curtain Airbag deployment loop. The Restraint Control Module (RCM/SDM) continuously performs diagnostic current loop checks on the squib to evaluate circuit loop resistance. If the measured resistance falls out of the target window (typically 1.8 – 3.2 Ω) due to high resistance, open circuit, short to ground, or short to voltage, this DTC is triggered, illuminating the SRS light and disabling deployment of this specific squib circuit.
Possible Causes
1. Oxid, glapp eller deformerade stift i takstolpskontakten (C-stolpe / A-stolpe / B-stolpe) till krockgardinen
2. Klämd eller skavd kabelstam längs taklinjen efter karossreparation eller montering av tillbehör
3. Defekt tändpärla (squib) i själva krockgardinsmodulen
4. Internt kretsfel / drivstegsfel i SRS-styrdonet (RCM/SDM)

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
