Technical Description
DTC B0055 indicates a circuit malfunction, out-of-range resistance, or signal deviation in the auxiliary seatbelt restraint loop/buckle switch circuit (commonly 3rd row center or passenger secondary restraint circuit depending on OEM). The SRS module (RCM/SDM) monitors the circuit continuously via a low-current diagnostic bias. If the loop impedance falls outside the calibrated threshold (typically 1.8 Ω to 3.2 Ω for deployment loops, or specific dual-level current states for Hall-effect buckle switches), the DTC is latched and the SRS warning lamp is illuminated.
Possible Causes
1. Oxiderade, glappa eller utvidgade stift i kontaktstycken under säte / golvmatta.
2. Defekt bältessträckare eller mikrobrytare/Hall-sensor integrerad i bälteslåset.
3. Kabelskada (klämd ledare i stolsunderrede eller genomföring).
4. Intern felaktighet i SRS-styrdonet (RCM/SDM) eller utlöst kraschdata.

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
