Technical Description
DTC B0092 indicates a malfunction or signal integrity fault within the Passenger Presence System (PPS) / Occupant Classification Module (OCM). The Restraints Control Module (RCM/SDM) monitors the PPS module via a dedicated single-wire LIN-bus or discrete current-loop line to determine seat occupancy status. The fault triggers when the RCM detects missing communication frames, open circuits, short-to-ground/voltage, or out-of-range sensor feedback from the seat weight pressure mat or its integrated ECU.
Possible Causes
1. Skadat, klämt eller utmattat kablage/kontaktstycke under passagerarsätet till följd av stolsjustering.
2. Internt avbrott eller mekanisk utmattningsskada i tryckkänslig sensormatta (Pressure Mat) i sittdynan.
3. Defekt lokal PPS/OCM-styrenhet eller förlorad nollpunktskalibrering (Zero-Point Calibration) efter demontering.
4. Oxiderade eller glappande kontaktstift i RCM- eller PPS-kopplingsplint.
