Technical Description
DTC B0096 indicates a circuit malfunction or communication loss with the Right Side Restraints Sensor 1 (typically located in the B-pillar, sill, or front passenger door) or the Occupant Classification System (OCS) interface depending on OEM implementation. The Supplemental Restraint System module (RCM/SDM) continuously monitors loop impedance, current draw, and serial bitstream integrity. The code is triggered upon detecting an open circuit, short to ground/battery, or corrupted digital communication frame.
Possible Causes
1. Korrosion eller glappkontakt i sensorns kontakthus (ofta vid dörrgenomföring, tröskel eller B-stolpe p.g.a. fukt)
2. Skadat kablage (klämskada under golvmatta, dörrgångjärn eller B-stolpe)
3. Defekt satellitsensor (krasch-/trycksensor i höger dörr eller B-stolpe)
4. Internt kretsfel i SRS-styrenhet (RCM/Airbag-modul)
