Technical Description
DTC B0116 indicates a circuit or communication malfunction in the right-hand side impact sensor (satellite accelerometer). The SRS Airbag Control Unit (ACU) continuously monitors the sensor via a dedicated two-wire current-modulated bus (e.g., PSI5/PAS4 protocol). The DTC is set when the ACU detects an open circuit, short-to-ground, short-to-power, out-of-range quiescent current, or corrupted Manchester-encoded telemetry exceeding the fault integration threshold.
Possible Causes
4. Internt hårdvarufel/drivstegsfel i SRS-styrdonet (Airbag ECU).

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
