Technical Description
DTC B0134 designates an electrical circuit fault (open circuit, short to ground, or short to voltage) in the pretensioner deployment loop or lateral impact accelerometer circuit. The SRS control module (ACU/SDM) continuously monitors loop integrity by injecting a low diagnostic bias current. If the monitored impedance deviates outside the strict factory-defined window (typically 1.8 – 3.2 Ω for pyrotechnic squibs, or PSI5/current-loop limits for digital crash sensors), the DTC is latched, disabling deployment for that circuit and illuminating the SRS MIL.
Possible Causes
3. Defekt tändpiller i bältessträckaren / bältesrullen (öppen krets internt)
4. Defekt perifer krocksensor (accelerometer) eller intern kortslutning/avbrott i SRS-styrenheten

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
