Technical Description
The Restraint Control Module (RCM/SDM) constantly monitors the impedance of the seat belt pretensioner pyrotechnic deployment loop using a low-current sense circuit. DTC B0137 is set when the measured loop resistance falls outside calibrated thresholds (typically open circuit > 3.5–4.0 Ω or short circuit < 1.5 Ω, nominal 1.8–2.8 Ω) for longer than the debounce threshold (approx. 500 ms). This inhibits the pretensioner deployment and illuminates the master SRS malfunction indicator light (MIL).
Possible Causes
1. Dålig kontakt, oxidation eller utmattade stift i det gula SRS-kontaktdonet under sätet / vid B-stolpen.
2. Hög intern resistans eller avbrott i bältessträckarens pyrotekniska tändkapsel (squib).
3. Mekaniskt skavd eller klämd kabelstam i sätesram eller tröskelpanel.
4. Defekt kortslutningsbygel (shorting bar) inuti kontakthöljet som permanent kortsluter stiften vid anslutning.
5. Internt hårdvarufel i krockkuddestyrdonet (RCM/SDM).
