Technical Description
DTC C0017 is set when the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) detects an electrical circuit malfunction in the front brake valve solenoid subcircuit or associated wheel speed sensor supply circuit. The module performs low-side and high-side diagnostic continuous circuit monitoring. If an open circuit, short to ground, or short to battery voltage is detected due to internal coil degradation, harness chafing, or driver stage failure, the EBCM enters failsafe mode, disabling ABS and stability control functions.
Possible Causes
1. Korrosion eller stiftdeformation i ABS-enhetens huvudkontakt (EBCM-kontaktstycke)
2. Kabelskada/avbrott i hjulhusets kablage p.g.a. mekanisk nötning eller styrutslag
3. Defekt intern ventilspole eller spruckna lödningar på EBCM kretskort (vanligt vid termisk utmattning)
4. Skadad eller igensatt magnetisk avkänningsring (tonring integrerad i hjullagrets packbox)
