Technical Description
DTC C0030 indicates an electrical malfunction in the Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) circuit. The electronic brake control module (EBCM) continuously monitors circuit continuity, supply current, and signal plausibility. For active (2-wire current-switching Hall/MR) sensors, the fault is flagged when circuit current drops below ~5 mA (open circuit) or exceeds ~20 mA (short circuit), or when voltage supply collapse occurs. For passive VR sensors, an open coil (>2 kΩ) or shorted circuit will trigger this DTC.
Possible Causes
1. Skadat kablage eller skavd kabelstam i hjulhuset (ofta vid fjäderbenets rörelsepunkt)
2. Oxiderade eller glappande kontaktstift i sensorkontakten (fuktinträngning)
3. Defekt hjulhastighetssensor (internt avbrott eller komponentkollaps)
4. Skadad eller korroderad magnetisk tandkrans / integrerad hjullagertätning (reluktorring)
5. Internt hårdvarufel/drivsteg i ABS-styrenheten (EBCM)
