Technical Description
DTC C0047 designates a circuit or signal performance failure within the Brake Booster Pressure Sensor assembly. The sensor is typically a 3-wire piezoresistive transducer supplied with a regulated 5.0V reference from the ABS/ESC module (or ECM). It translates vacuum/pressure levels inside the brake booster into an analog voltage output (nominally 0.5V to 4.5V). The DTC triggers when the ECU senses out-of-range voltages (e.g., <0.2V short-to-ground/open circuit or >4.8V short-to-power), or a rational plausibility fault comparing booster pressure against engine manifold vacuum and brake pedal travel data.
Possible Causes
1. Skadat kablage, ärgade kontaktstift eller glappkontakt i 3-poliga kontaktdonet vid bromsservot.
2. Defekt tryckgivare (internt elementfel eller membranbrott).
3. Mekaniskt vakuumläckage, defekt backventil eller trasig elektrisk/mekanisk vakuumpump som ger felaktigt undertryck.
4. Internt kretsfel i ABS/ESC-styrdonet (avbrott i 5V VREF eller A/D-omvandlare).
