Technical Description
The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM/ESP) continuously monitors the circuit supply and current consumption for the right rear wheel speed sensor subsystem (or brake boost/travel sensor depending on OEM architecture). Utilizing active 2-wire current-loop Hall sensors (toggling between ~7mA low and ~14mA high states), the module monitors the circuit via internal shunt measurement. DTC C0048 triggers when the circuit exhibits an open, short-to-ground, short-to-voltage, or a current draw out of operational range (<4 mA or >28 mA), immediately disabling ABS, TCS, and ESC for fail-safe operation.
Possible Causes
1. Skadat kablage, kabelbrott eller ärgade kontaktstift i hjulhuset bak på höger sida.
2. Defekt aktiv Hall-effekt hjulhastighetssensor (internt komponentfel eller sprucket sensorhölje).
3. Förorenad, sprucken eller korroderad magnetisk pulsgivarring (enkoder integrerad i hjullagertätningen).
4. Internt hårdvarufel på drivsteg/shuntmätning i ABS/ESP-hydraulaggregatets styrdon.
