Technical Description
DTC C0054 indicates an electrical malfunction or out-of-range signal within the Brake Booster Position Sensor / Brake Pressure Transducer circuit. The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) continuously monitors the 5V reference supply, ground reference, and analog output voltage. The fault triggers when the measured sensor output falls below the low limit (typically <0.25V, indicating short to ground/open) or exceeds the high limit (>4.75V, indicating short to reference/battery), or when an internal sensor plausibility check fails against hydraulic models.
Possible Causes
1. Defekt bromstryckgivare/bromsförstärkarsensor (internt piezoresistivt element eller potentiometerfel)
2. Korrosion, glapp eller fukt i sensorns kontaktstycke vid bromskraftförstärkare/hydraulaggregat
3. Kablagefel (avbrott, skavd kabel eller kortslutning till jord/spänning)
4. Internt hårdvarufel i ABS/ESP-styrenheten (EBCM)
