Technical Description
DTC C0068 indicates a circuit malfunction, plausibility failure, or internal hardware fault in the Yaw Rate Sensor / Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The ABS/ESP control module continuously cross-references yaw rate with steering angle and individual wheel speeds. If the measured yaw rate deviates from the dynamic model calculations for longer than a calibrated threshold (typically >200 ms), the DTC is triggered and active stability intervention is inhibited for fail-safe operation.
Possible Causes
1. Mekanisk felmontering, lös konsol eller fysisk påverkan/korrosion vid tröghetssensorns placering (ofta under mittkonsol eller under förarstol)
2. Spänningsfall, glappkontakt eller fuktoxidation i sensorns kontaktstycke och kablage till ABS/ESP-modulen
3. Internt komponentfel i sensorns interna MEMS-piezoresistiva element eller ASIC-processor
4. Felaktig nollpunktskalibrering efter hjulinställning, chassiarbete eller byte av ESP-relaterade komponenter
