Technical Description
DTC C0078 (Tire Dimensions Input) is triggered when the ABS/ESC control module detects a persistent rotational frequency mismatch between wheels, indicative of an incorrect rolling circumference or mismatched tire dimension configuration in module variant coding. When one wheel speed sensor consistently deviates by more than 2-4% during straight-line driving without slip, the ECU flags an invalid tire dimension or reluctor ring pitch discrepancy.
Possible Causes
1. Monterat däck med felaktig dimension, profil eller asymmetriskt slitage (>3-4 mm skillnad i mönsterdjup)
2. Felaktigt eller skadat hjullager med inkompatibel magnetisk pulsgivarring (fel antal magnetpoler)
3. Felaktig däckdimension inprogrammerad i fordonets centrala konfiguration (BCM/ABS Variant Coding)
4. Kraftigt underblåst däck (lågt däcktryck som minskar dynamisk rullradie)
