Technical Description
C0081 indicates a malfunction within the Brake System Warning Indicator Lamp control circuit or internal Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)/ABS indicator driver logic within the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). The module monitors the output driver circuit for open circuit, short to ground, or short to battery voltage when commanding the brake warning indicator. In modern multiplexed architectures, it may also indicate a CAN message plausibility mismatch between EBCM status and Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) confirmation.
Possible Causes
1. Låg bromsvätskenivå eller defekt nivågivare i expansionskärlet (inducerar hårdvaruvarningskrets)
2. Avbrott, oxidering eller kortslutning i kablaget mellan ABS/EBCM-modulen och instrumenthuset (IPC)
3. Internt fel i EBCM/ABS-styrdonets transistorstyrda utgångssteg eller mjukvarukonflikt
4. Kommunikationsstörning/time-out på CAN-buss mellan EBCM och IPC
