Technical Description
DTC C0084 is set by the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM/HECU) upon detecting an electrical circuit malfunction (open circuit, short-to-ground, or short-to-voltage) within the brake system warning indicator control circuit. The module monitors output driver voltage feedback and load current. If a deviation from the expected commanded-state feedback voltage is registered during power-on self-tests or continuous operation, C0084 is stored and fallback safety strategies are engaged.
Possible Causes
1. Korrosion, stiftvandring eller kontaktresistans i ABS/EBCM-huvudkontakt
2. Skadat kablage (skavning mot chassi/öppen krets) mellan ABS-enhet och kombiinstrument/säkringsbox
3. Defekt eller kärvande bromsvätskenivåvakt i expansionskärlet
4. Defekt utgångssteg/lågsidesdrivkrets internt i ABS/ESP-hydraulaggregatet (EBCM)
