Technical Description
DTC C0206 is triggered when the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM/EBCU) detects an out-of-range signal, voltage drop, or plausibility failure from the internal/external Brake Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor. The sensor utilizes a piezoresistive element with a 5.0V regulated reference producing a 0.5V–4.5V analog output proportional to 0–250 bar hydraulic line pressure. Fault triggers include circuit open/short to ground/reference, or excessive zero-point offset drift (typically >±0.15V deviation from nominal 0.5V at resting pedal state).
Possible Causes
1. Defekt integrerad eller extern bromstryckgivare (internt piezoresistivt element havererat)
2. Skadat kablage, ärgade kontaktstift eller dålig jordförbindelse i ABS/ESP-kabelstammen
3. Förlorad 5V referensspänning från ABS/ESP-styrenhetens interna spänningsregulator
4. Mekanisk/hydraulisk blockering eller luftficka i hydraulblocket (HCU) som förhindrar korrekt tryckuppbyggnad

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
