Technical Description
The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) has detected an implausible or out-of-range voltage signal from the master cylinder brake pressure transducer (or differential hydraulic pressure switch). The DTC is set when the signal voltage deviates outside the calibrated range (typically <0.20V or >4.80V) for a calibrated duration, or when indicated hydraulic pressure is inconsistent with the brake switch status and vehicle deceleration metrics.
Possible Causes
1. Defekt bromstrycksensor (internt piezoresistivt element trasigt eller internt membranfel).
2. Kontaktresistans, korrosion eller stiftdeformation i sensorns kablagekontakt.
3. Avbrott eller kortslutning till jord/spänning på 5V-referens- eller signaledningen till EBCM.
4. Hydrauliskt problem, såsom luftficka runt sensorn eller defekt huvudcylinder.
5. Internt fel i EBCM (ABS-styrenhetens analog-till-digital-omvandlare).

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
