Technical Description
DTC C0270 is set when the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) detects an out-of-range voltage or rationality failure on the Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor circuit. The sensor uses a 5V reference and piezoresistive transducer to output an analog voltage proportional to hydraulic line pressure (typically 0.5V at 0 bar up to 4.5V at >150 bar). The DTC triggers when the signal voltage drops below threshold (<0.2V, indicating open circuit or short-to-ground), exceeds upper limit (>4.8V, short-to-power/ref), or exhibits an irrational voltage gradient relative to brake pedal switch state.
Possible Causes
1. Internt fel/slitage i bromstrycksensorn (piezoresistivt elementfel eller mikrosprickor).
2. Skadat kablage, kontaktstiftkorrosion eller glappkontakt mellan trycksensor och ABS/ESP-styrenhet.
3. Förlorad 5V referensspänning eller internt kretskortfel i ABS-styrenheten (EBCM/HCU).
4. Luft i bromshydraulikens primärkrets eller felaktigt kalibrerad nollpunkt (Zero-point offset).

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
