Technical Description
DTC C0272 indicates a circuit or rational performance malfunction in the Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor circuit, typically mounted on or integrated within the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) monitors an analog 0.5–4.5V output signal. The fault sets when the signal voltage is out of expected electrical limits (open circuit, short to ground, or short to 5V reference), when zero-point offset calibration drifts beyond tolerance, or when plausibility between brake switch activation and hydraulic pressure fails.
Possible Causes
1. Intern defekt/avvikelse i bromstrycksensorn (ofta integrerad i ABS-hydraulblocket).
2. Skadat kablage, ärgade stift eller kontaktresistans i ABS/ESP-modulens flerpoliga kontaktdon.
3. Avsaknad eller instabilitet i 5V-referensspänning från ABS/ESP-styrenheten (EBCM).
4. Mekanisk/hydraulisk blockering, luft i ABS-ventilblocket eller defekt tryckackumulator.
5. Internt hårdvarufel i ABS/ESP-styrenheten (A/D-omvandlare).

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
