Technical Description
DTC C0278 indicates an open circuit condition detected in the ABS solenoid relay circuit. The ABS/ESC ECU continuously monitors the solenoid relay coil drive circuit and the switched output bus voltage supplying the hydraulic actuator solenoids. If the ECU commands the solenoid relay ON but detects an open circuit (feedback voltage remains low, typically < 3.0V) or an infinite impedance on the coil drive circuit during self-test initialization, the ECU disables the ABS/VSC system and triggers the diagnostic fault.
Possible Causes
1. Avbrott i matningsspänning till solenoidrelä/krets p.g.a. bränd ABS SOL-säkring eller korrosion i reläbox.
2. Internt relä-/kretskortshaveri inuti ABS-hydraulaggregatet (modulator/ECU-enhet) p.g.a. mikrosprickor i lödpunkter eller MOSFET-kortslutning/avbrott.
3. Övergångsmotstånd/korrosion i ABS-donets huvudkontaktstycke eller skadad chassijordpunkt.
